This is the commercial that started it all.
Bahahahah….Seriously best commercial ever. Don’t send me hate mail. Seals are cute and all, but there are BILLIONS of them, and dude, sharks like Megalodon need to eat.
I don’t know what it is about Sharks, but apparently I am not the only one that is stoked about Shark week. I am not the only one that has been yelling, “Shark week in four more days” or whatever appropriate day it is…it might have even been the last thing I said last night and the first thing I thought of this morning.
And tomorrow, I have the whole day off…bonus. Short week. Summertime. Shark Week.
I mean what is not to love about this week in television perfection. It is Sharks…every summer night for a whole freaking week.
I don’t want to miss a show.
I may as well write off the week right now. I am not going to get anything done. At all.
In my adventurous other life, you know the one that is in my imagination…I am on one of the boats that take the insane people out to find the sharks. I am the one taking the pictures with that kick ass 3 foot lens.
Don’t get me wrong, it would have to be a big boat, not just a big lens.
If there was anything terrifying in this world to try…that would be first on my list. I would actually do that rather than get on an airplane.
Since it’s probably going to not happen for a couple of years, I can live it on the tube. I can watch it on tv until my dreams are filled with chum, and seals, and hug sharp teeth that rip through boats to try and eat you.
The thought of these absolutely huge fish living in the water is crazy enough, never mind some evidence of there being one that is over thirty feet long and can dive over 6500 feet below the surface of the ocean. Think about that. That is insane.
Oh…and I didn’t steal these pictures off of the internet either. Just so you know. I took a picture of my tv. That isn’t stealing is it? I mean they aren’t my images, but they are my pictures. Obviously I don’t have that much access to a White Shark that is 30 feet long, right?
If you have a tv and some cable, and like a whole week of nights with nothing else to do… check out The Discovery Channel.
You won’t regret it…everyone loves a little Shark action.
Even at the expense of a few seals…right?
I AM KIDDING…
I am sure most of the seals are decoys, none were intentionally hurt in the making of shark week. At least none that I have seen so far. It kinda sucked about the boat that Megalodon ate though…that is NOT how you want to die.
So tune in and check it out, if you haven’t all ready…and let me know what you think!!
Should I try for that as my second career?? There would never be a boring moment, would there?
But I am gonna need a bigger camera…
Happy Shark Week everyone!!!
