Approximately 25-30 Chicken Drummettes (this is important, otherwise they aren’t as good, wings are ok, but drummettes make it better)
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup China lily soy sauce
1 tsp ginger powder
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp garlic powder or 1 tsp of chopped garlic
1 tbsp sesame seeds
Hot sauce to taste…we like ours hot baby so I usually use 2-3 tablespoons of Franks Hot sauce!!
Place chicken in a casserole dish, big enough to get all the chicken into snuggly. They marinate better this way.
Add the next ingredients together to make marinade.
Pour over wings.
I let mine sit as long as possible in the fridge, the night before is awesome, but you don’t have to let them marinade at all if you don’t have the time. They will still be amazing.
Give them a little tickle a couple of times throughout your marinading period, move them around and get everybody covered well :)
Preheat your oven to about 375 degrees.
Bake them for about 40 minutes on the lower temperature. Once they are cooked, I put the oven on broil and put them back in the oven for about 10 minutes maybe a bit more, I like mine crunchy. Keep an eye on it on broil though, they are easy to burn.
Once they are cooked to your preference, take them out of the oven sprinkle gently with sesame seeds and let them sit for about 15 minutes.
I know this will be nearly impossible, because it is killing you to wait. They look and smell amazing.
But do it.
They get stickier and sweeter and more delicious if you wait, I promise.
