Boys. And Burping.

Boys. And Burping.

I know right?

You all know what I am talking about. Boys love burping. And that’s fine, I get it. When you are like, umm ten.

And then what usually happens, is that your Mom and Dad step in and tell you that, yes…while burping is fun and they understand that you are a boy and that is just what you still need to have a manner, or two.

You need to understand that burping while you are walking past people in a grocery store, loudly and obnoxiously is not ok.

Burping when you are out in a restaurant around other people, who by the way are eating…is rude.

It might be amusing when you are seven, but after that it loses it’s charm.

So when you are in your thirties, or say forties…you should know better.

It’s not cute, it’s totally unattractive, and people are not going to want to be your friend.

I am actually mortified by the number of people, mostly boys, actually all boys…who think it is okay, and it is older guys. Guys who should know better, who have obviously given up on the human race and just don’t give a shit what other people think of them.

What other reason could you have for just belching away in public like that?

In the last few weeks it has happened about five times, seriously. Am I a burping magnet or something? Do I look like the kind of person who is going to dig you after you walk by me belching your face off?

Because the actuality of that is…NO. I am thinking the next person that walks by and lets a belch go in my near vicinity is going to get a mommy speech about having a fucking manner.

And speaking of which…where ARE your mothers? I bet you don’t behave like that in front of them now do you? Because I see a smack coming on.

So the next time you are walking around in public and feel the need to burp like you are ten, when in actuality you are not ten…it would be awesome if you could say excuse me. It’s a pretty basic thing.

Let’s bring some manners back shall we?

Thank you in advance.

Happy Friday everyone. xox

Hahaha… go figure this post caught my attention, right?!
SO… the thing about burping is that I really I know the kind of reaction I’m going to get for doing it. I like to think of it as performance art, really. Or something like that.

My brother could say his ABC’s in the span of one burp. It was funny then, but now, not so much. Sometimes burps will just be stinkers and exit out of the back door. Maybe it is best just to let them out when they ask. I agree that the burp-keeper should say excuse me.
