Plan A…aborted.

Plan A…aborted.

Plan A…aborted.

I am of course talking about my plan to blog tonight.

I was going to post on the ten reasons not to sell your Mustang as well as putting up some of the fabulous car pictures I took. But I have decided that PicMonkey is bugging me, and taking about an hour to do anything which makes editing my pictures take too bloody long. I just don’t have the patience.

I went to a car show on Sunday, with full intentions of putting the for sale sign on her and doing it. I started her up, took off…got halfway to the car show and wondered what  in the flaming hell I could have possibly been thinking. It would nearly be like cutting my left arm off and selling it.

I did end up putting the for sale sign on it about halfway through, after I saw this…

Purple Jeep

I mean every girl should have one right? Anyway… long story short, I had two interested people neither of which I think are worthy of owning her, she really needs to go to a good home if she goes anywhere, which I am not sure is going to happen. Driving her usually cures me of the thought of selling…I should know that by now.

And on another note.

I have school tomorrow, well I have orientation for school. I am excited and terrified.

I have just cleaned nearly 3,000 files off of my computer.

I will need my computer for school, obviously, and I just found out today that there is a $600 web editing program I need to buy and install.

I had to get rid of some stuff, in doing so, I filled up a whole memory stick.

Going to school is hard, and I haven’t even started yet.

Getting up early is my new motto for three days of the week, add coffee. Lots of it. I haven’t had to get up before 7:30 am for a very long time now. From now until April, I will be leaving my house at 7:30 am.

That means I will be going to bed at a normal hour, like before 11. WHAT?? I haven’t done that since…well my Save On Foods years I guess, so a million years ago.

But I have new books, nearly $600 worth of new books. It makes me want to wake up early. I love books :)

And honestly, I can’t believe how excited I am to learn new stuff about something that I love so much. My brain is ready to sponge it all up.

This morning I was thinking that it seems like just yesterday that I started the whole process to get this happening. I never thought I would get here, it seemed such a far reach, and yet today when I was in Staples buying my new school binder and erasers, I was like…weeeeeee, I freaking DID it!!

It feels good. I like it. And I am ready to start my big adventure. I am ready to learn, to meet new people and to change the outcome of my future.

Happy September 2nd everyone!!!

You can always find a jeep to buy. A classic Mustang? Nope. Now I LOVE jeeps and want one but I think it should be a new rule that every time you get the urge to sell the Mustang you have to get in it and drive nowhere in particular! Notice how many people smile at the mustang (not so a jeep no matter how purty). It is your job to bring joy and smiles into this world by driving that beautiful Mustang – really!!! Alpha Hubby’s rule in our house is that if it isn’t easy, it isn’t right. There should be total peace inside when a decision is made. If you have so many doubts about selling, it either isn’t right or it isn’t time. Of course you could opt not to listen to me since I am EXTREMELY biased and I still, after 25 years, wish I’d kept my Mustang.

    I. LOVE. SCHOOL. The smell of the books, the zany professors, the feeling that I’m on a purposeful road….all if it! I’m excited for you and looking forward to posts about the journey. I was a late bloomer to go back and finish college(BA when I was 30) but I think that was much better for me on many levels. I still take classes from time to time. Love it! Good luck to you!!

CONGRATS! I haven’t been here in forever because I’ve been in school myself. Blogging was put on the back burner a while back. So today I thought I would kinda check on some of my past blogging buddy sites and your’s is the first one I read. Wow! I am happy for you. I remember the feeling of actually DOING IT! Getting registered, buying books, getting supplies–I was transported as I read your blog. I am excited for you. Now that the end is within sight for me, I’ll be stopping by from time to time to see how you are doing. I truly am excited for you. Best of luck.

GO!!! So excited for you Donna. You’re exactly the kind of student the teacher will have been waiting his entire CAREER for. One who’s eager, smart, engaged, and excited. Can’t wait to see what you bring home to all of us from school. Stories, please. Pics too, and a few tips/tricks if you’re willing to share. You’ll absolutely kick this school in the ass. Yay!!
